Dazzlin- President and Founder Bling Devas MC
Bling Devas MC, an all female motorcycle club established in 2014, has always strived to inspire, uplift and motivate ladies to ride their own. So, we have attended and supported the Las Vegas International Motorcycle Ride Day for five years. This year’s event was bigger than ever and was an entire weekend of fun for us.
Friday night we met at the Thunderbird Boutique Hotel and quickly dove into the pool to cool off and have an adult foo foo drink. Then it was time to stuff candy bags and set up our booth. We wanted to have a spot that ladies we have met in years past, or out on the open road, as well as new attendees, could easily find us Devas for a hug, snack and a smile.
Friday night Vice President Choke won the People’s Choice award for her beautiful custom Harley Slim! She sparkled and shined of course, with her new racing stripe of Swarovski Crystals designed by Custom Bling By Ricci. There were so many beautiful lady-owned bikes. It is amazing to see how women make their ride their own and how their bikes take on a personality of their own.
Mother Rucker Choppers Foundation recognizes women motorcyclist that our Veterans each year as well. Bling Devas Secretary “Mystique” and VP “Choke” were recognized for their service to our country. Freedom isn’t free and it was an honor to see all of the women attending that are vets. Thank all of you for your service and God Bless you.
We all danced to the music in the farmer’s market style outdoor vendor area and had a chance to visit all the booths and buy cool things. Then it was over to Chanclas Cantina’s new location to sip margaritas and dance some more. We didn’t stay out too late though because we had big plans for the Saturday ride.
Up and at em early and over to the iconic Vegas restaurant, The Peppermill for a good breakfast. If ever in Vegas it is a must eat at spot. Then headed over to Certified Motors to gather up for the big ride. This IFRD is a synchronized ride across the globe that has been going on for 15 years. When we arrived the MRC ladies were kind enough to have reserved an “VIP” spot for Bling Devas to park up front. That was a sweet surprise. There were delicious pastries and cupcakes for us all to enjoy.
After a ride brief and blessing of the riders and bikes, we broke into three groups to hit the ride through town, down the strip and back over to the hotel. It was a warm ride. Seems like the weather in Vegas just turned from freezing to frying overnight. But we knew there was a dip in the pool and a cold beverage waiting for us all back at the hotel.
We socialized again all evening and enjoyed some live reggae music, DJ, pizza and snow cones. Oh and more Margaritas of course!! It is wonderful to have live music again after an entire year of nove due to Covid restrictions. The highlight of the weekend for me was being recognized for my community involvement and support of the IFRD event by the Board of Directors of Mother Rucker. They awarded me a very beautiful Custom Mike’s Lids Helmet. It is sparkly and just a perfect end to a wonderful event. It truly warmed my heart and I am so grateful.
I spoke to Founder of MRC Foundation, “Pancho” and he said, “We are proud of the event and have already started to plan next year as well as a few more event this year. The board did a terrific job and I am very proud of how hard they worked to put this on to celebrate women on wheels.” Bling Devas MC had a marvelous time and we can’t wait to see you all again soon.
We can’t wait until next years ride to see what Pancho has planned!
