Each year, myself included, make plans to head out on a long road trip on the bike. Maintenance is so important to do before you head out. Many a trip has been canceled due to a breakdown. I am gearing up for a marathon ride 48 states in 10 days. There are checklists you can follow. I have chosen to work on my health, both physically and mentally (taking in longer day trips than usual), but most importantly, getting my bike ready and understanding how to fix it while on the road.
Here is a great Youtube video I took at Boulder Choppers Custom Bike Builders who are assisting me with getting my bike in order and in the best shape possible.
Thanks Kenny Piefer and Bernie Gennarino at Boulder Choppers Custom Bike Builders/FXR for letting me spend time dialing in my maintenance routine on my Harley-Davidson so I’m set for my attempt to ride 48 states in ten days.
