Lacombe is located in the QEll Highway corridor, with access to hundreds of kilometers of additional secondary routes making the city of Lacombe a natural stop when touring through Central Alberta. Situated in the beautiful parkland district between Edmonton and Calgary Lacombe is the perfect weekend or day trip destination!
Known for its culinary tourism, Lacombe boasts an assortment of original eateries such as renowned Cilantro and Chive and Sweet Capone’s Italian Bakery, these along with Blindman Brewing and Old Prairie Sentinel Distillery are sure to fill your stomach and quench your thirst.
Crowned the Mural Capital of Alberta, Lacombe has over 30 historically inspired murals throughout the city for the art lovers and a wonderful gallery space in the Lacombe Memorial Centre which features local, regional and national art installations.
If it’s outdoor space you crave, the Ellis Bird Farm and the Kraay Family Farm are a must to see with many onsite activities for all ages! Wednesdays, June – August, are filled with Music, food and fun, at the Lacombe Memorial Centre for Music in the Park! Markets, food trucks and free concerts make this the perfect weekly outing!
History lovers will appreciate Lacombe’s Culture and History with 2 museums located in the downtown core which showcase the largest grouping of Edwardian Architecture still standing today in Alberta.
So, come and join them for a day or weekend, catch some horse racing at the Track on 2 or just sit on one of their downtown street-side patios and enjoy a tasty treat.
