Colorado riders are gearing up for their annual Sturgis Rally. Their campsites are reserved, bikes are tuned up and they are ready for the 78th year of Rally. But this year, Colorado riders will have a new local destination in downtown Sturgis to wet their whistle, share a meal and meet up with other Colorado riders.

Dirty Dogs Roadhouse is working feverishly to give the Sturgis location a new face lift and have promised riders it will be done in time for Rally. The new bar/restaurant is located at 1025 Junction Avenue and is right across from the Sturgis Harley Davidson store. Yes, that’s right, Colorado riders have their own biker bar, something most out-of-state riders can’t say… it will feel like home!

The décor will have the same Dirty Dogs Roadhouse flare, and as one owner said, “We want to combine the concept of where the old Broken Spoke meets One Eyed Jacks!” As we all have witnessed here in Colorado, when owners put their minds to improving a biker bar, they pull out all the stops with authentic, vintage bikes and memorabilia that reflect a true biker bar.

Colorado Rider News sat down with owners to get a sneak peak at the Dirty Dogs Roadhouse vision for the South Dakota location:

  • 7,000 sq. foot bar/restaurant with indoor and outdoor bars. They will have a massive outside tent to host all their regulars.
  • DD will be bringing a limited menu of your Colorado favorites such as Cheesesteaks, and their infamous wings along with 5-6 items from their current Golden menu
  • Breakfast Bar from 6-ish every day and a great place to meet up with other riders!
  • Entertainment nightly with some of your Colorado favorites such as Bar Nothin, Tony Roserio, and they are working hard to bring Brian Hornbuckle up there

If you haven’t gotten your Brick or Dirty Dogs Roadhouse membership card, you still have time to sign up at the Golden location. Discounts are generously given to customers who have bought a brick or membership. The discount cards will be honored at the Sturgis location during Rally.

Mad Dog Custom Cycle is a staple in Sturgis and is right next door, so if you need anything or anything goes wrong with your bike, send it to a shop that has been there for 14 years and is Colorado based.

As a regular Sturgis Rally participant, I can’t tell you how excited I am to see what the owners do to Dirty Dogs Roadhouse Sturgis and to have a home base and a location to see my fellow Colorado friends and riders.
