Our riding community is again facing an epidemic of motorcycle accidents. As we hit mid-year of our riding season, there is hardly a day that we don’t turn on our phones or social media and not hear that another rider has gone down and is in the hospital.

I would like to take a moment to introduce you to a charity called the Randy Run for Fallen Bikers. This yearwill mark the 12th annual Randy Run Poker Run on July 21st. This fundraising effort doesn’t happen without the help of so many wonderful volunteers and board members who work so very hard year-round to create an amazing ride with great door prizes, 50/50, and live and silent auctions items. 100% of the proceeds goes into the Randy Run Accident Fund.

If you haven’t heard of the Randy Run for Fallen Bikers, it is because you are probably one of the lucky ones that hasn’t needed the Randy Run grant program. But, make no mistake, if the tragedy of a motorcycle accident hits you, and you need assistance, the Randy Run board is there to grant your application and give you some financial relief to help you get through while you recover.

The ride is on Saturday, July 21st, and this year, the Randy Run has 2 starting points with both rides ending at The Frontier in Aurora, CO. Here are some details:

  • Ride Registration is $25.00 per rider and $15.00 for passenger
  • Starting Point #1 – Golden, CO – Dirty Dogs Roadhouse – Registration starts at 9:00 AM with kickstands up at 10:00 AM. (Breakfast served)
  • Starting Point #2 – Franktown, CO – The Stagecoach – Registration starts at 9:30 AM with kickstands up at 10:30 AM. (Breakfast served)
  • You can pre-register this year and be guaranteed a Randy Run 12th annual t-shirt by visiting the Randy Run for Fallen Bikers Facebook Page. T-shirts were generously donated by Scott O’Sullivan Law Firm and participating sponsors.

As the founder of BikerDown Foundation which also helps injured motorcycle riders, it is my honor to work very closely with the Randy Run board members. Together, and with the help of your donations, we have helped riders in a more efficient and effective way. I ask all riders on July 21st to take a DAY TO RIDE FOR OURSELVES, so that the Randy Run has the funds to help future injured riders.
