This year’s event was the largest in its 16-year history, drawing motorcyclists from 32 states to Capitol Hill to advocate for the rights and concerns of street riders across the country.
The list of issues we brought to lawmakers was extensive and vital. Key priorities included:
• The Right to Repair • Preserving the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE)
• Biker Profiling
• Autonomous Vehicles
• Ethanol Mandates
• Clarifying the Definition of a Motorcycle
For the third consecutive year, all 435 U.S. Representatives and 100 Senators received an MRF informational packet outlining who we are, what we’ve accomplished, and what we’re fighting for. More than 200 riders came together in D.C., representing a wide range of organizations: State Motorcyclist Rights Organizations (SMROs), the National Coalition of Motorcyclists (NCOM), Sustaining Clubs, and the National Council of Clubs (NCOC), all united under the MRF banner.
Our presence matters. While our voices are critical, our visibility is just as powerful. Every year, when hundreds of bikers walk the halls of Congress, it makes an unmistakable impact. It reminds lawmakers that motorcyclists are informed, organized, and engaged. During the event, a major development occurred: Senate Majority Whip John Thune (South Dakota) shared with riders that he would be announcing, from the Senate floor, his intention to push for a vote to repeal waivers that allow California to enforce its own emissions standards. This would significantly affect national efforts to preserve access to internal combustion engines.

The Motorcycle Riders Foundation has been a constant presence in Washington, D.C., since 1986. We’re not going anywhere—we will continue to be the unwavering voice of the street rider in our nation’s capital. Thank you to every motorcyclist who made the trip to D.C. Your dedication powers this movement. It’s never too early to start planning for the next Bikers Inside the Beltway in May 2026. Couldn’t attend? You can still make a difference by responding to the MRF’s current calls to action:
