This year, in 2025, I decided to get a full-face helmet to keep me safer when I ride. I was getting ready to put the Brake Free LED light on a helmet, but I just didn’t feel comfortable shopping on my own. Go into any dealership, and there are walls filled with helmets. I didn’t want to buy one based on price but instead on knowledge.
I had the honor of interviewing my friend PK Handley. He works at Cycle Gear in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pk is also an ASM instructor. He runs an organization called MATTERS, where he takes riders out and practices safety techniques and maneuvers. PK was the perfect person to size me and explain the features one should look at when purchasing a new helmet.
