On Friday night, April 18, 2025, a significant motorcycle crash occurred on southbound Interstate 35W near Heritage Trace Parkway in Fort Worth, Texas. The incident involved approximately 15 motorcycles and resulted in injuries to at least 17 individuals.
According to reports, the crash was initiated when the lead motorcycle experienced a tire blowout, leading to a chain-reaction collision among the following riders. Several motorcycles caught fire, and emergency responders described the scene as a “mass casualty incident.” Fourteen people were transported to local hospitals, with at least four in critical condition, while three others were treated at the scene. The southbound lanes of I-35W were closed for several hours as crews worked to extinguish the fires, treat the injured, and clear the wreckage. The Fort Worth Fire Department, MedStar EMS, and Fort Worth Police coordinated the emergency response, deploying 11 fire apparatuses and 10 ambulances to the scene.
