I wanted to write this testimonial as a rider and member of BikerDown. In
2019, I attended one of the Accident Scene Management classes and signed
up for the 35.00 per year membership that included the roadside assistance.
I believe at the time, I purchased it with the thought that I was helping
BikerDown and doubted that I would ever need it.
In December I was riding in Arizona and a driver made an illegal turn,
slamming right into me. I was conscious and immediately started directing
people to secure the scene and everything I learned in that basic class.
Once the shock was over and I saw my bike, we knew we had to get the bike back home. The 1st tow was with my insurance company and was covered under my policy and that I would be filing a claim for damage. Once I got out of the hospital, we realized that we needed to get the bike to the dealership to get it evaluated, and I didn’t want to call my insurance and ask for another tow on my bike policy and I certainly didn’t want to pay out-of-pocket.
I was contacted a few days later by BikerDown and they wanted to make sure that I was alright. During the conversation, I was reminded that I had purchased that NATIONWIDE MOTORCYCLE TOWING policy with
the $35.00 membership. BikerDown provided me my membership number and sent me the MTS Emergency number. I called the next day, gave them my membership number and within maybe an hour, up pulled my motorcycle tower who safely lifted my bike into the truck and off it went to the dealership. This tow company was someone that I normally would have PAID to tow my bike, but with the BD membership…I paid nothing.
In Closing, I was so grateful to have purchased that BikerDown membership. at the ASM class thinking that I would never have to use it. I now have a new bike and am ready to get back on the road again. I highly recommend
getting the BD Roadside membership for $35.00 per year with nationwide motorcycle towing. You hope you will never have to use it, but you will be glad that you have it …when you need it.
