On March 18, 2018, Ramon Sepulveda was out riding with friends, and it was a beautiful Colorado day. Then, in the blink of an eye, a car pulled out in front of him. Ramon woke up in the hospital, and his world would be forever changed. Ramon lost his right arm and his left arm was shattered. Ramon’s positive spirit, given the challenges he is facing, is nothing short of miracle. His love for life and the hope that he will ride again are a testament to the spirit of a motorcycle rider … no matter what you ride.
The driver had limited insurance, and Ramon and his wife will bear the brunt of his future medical costs that will include prosthetics to give him some mobility. Ramon will never again be able to do the concrete work and snow removal that was his livelihood. Ramon’s mission is to get the message to riders to have the BEST insurance you can buy; you should have uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage and a supplemental accident policy to help you cover the costs of recovery. Ramon wants to use his accident as an example because so many drivers out there DON’T HAVE ADEQUATE INSURANCE, and when it happens to you, it will become a reality that you won’t want to face.
On June 16th, there will be a poker run/fundraiser for Ramon. Ramon will need a prosthesis and lots of healing emotionally and physically. The event will start and end at Avalanche Harley Davidson in Golden, CO. We are asking all riders to come out, say hello to Ramon and his family, and give him some Colorado love!
