You know it’s a biker bar when there are more than just three bikes parked out front on bike nights!

The Venue is the place to be on Thursday nights if you like to show off your ride and hang with other bikers and talk about … well bike stuff of course! This place was formerly Buckin Harley, Hiccups, Brewski’s, and Bottlecap. The new owners, Brett and Pam Braun, are doing an excellent job in revamping this hidden gem with their Thursday bike nights and popular live entertainment. They have been running the business for over a year now, and every time I visit this biker-friendly place, it gets busier and busier. For their grand opening last year, they went all out and had Jack Russell’s Great White performing on stage! No wonder this is the place to be for entertainment.

Mike Martinez, former general manager of McCarthy’s in Aurora, was brought onboard to manage promotions and live bands. Mike said, “We have big band/jazz on 1st and 3rd Tuesdays, and I am starting rock/blues on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays.” The Venue is booking “classic rock” bands on Thursdays’ bike nights. The Thursday bike Nights will have bands such as Cirkus and Liquor Biscuit. Fridays is Hip Hop with 107.5’s DJ Staxx, and on Saturdays local originals or cover bands perform.

The Venue leases out their kitchen to Smokin’ Burger Joint, and they have a $5.99 cheeseburger, fries and beer special that will rock your world. Oh my God, it was the best burger I had in a very long time, and their special sauce is to die for as a dipping sauce or spread all over your burger.

One of the popular specials they have nightly is 5 whiskey shots for $20.00, choose from Tuaca, Fireball, Jack Fire, Jager, and Jack Honey.

Another smart move the owners made was to bring Brett’s sister, Debbie, in to assist with bartending. She has extensive experience bartending and even owned a bar in Golden. “It’s something I enjoy very much,” Debbie said, “I like serving our patrons and working with a great team of experienced bartenders.” She goes on to say that working at The Venue can be a beehive of activity with days and nights being very different. “On the day shift, we always have our core of regulars with whom I always enjoy casual conversation and be a small part of their day,” says Debbie.

The Venue is one of the few places in town that welcomes all bikers, clubs, or your everyday local motorcycle enthusiasts. “All the bikers we have had the pleasure of hosting at the Venue have been awesome,” Debbie boasts. They do not believe in the No Color Policy and welcome everyone.

I was amazed to see the owners fraternizing with their customers and actually bussing, waiting tables, and vacuuming the stage area. I always believed that hands-on owners will always run a successful business.

Please come out and meet their team of bartenders and see what the The Venue has to offer anytime day or night.
