Sturgis, SD — As the thunder of engines echoes through the Black Hills, the 85th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is roaring to life with renewed energy, purpose, and patriotism. This year’s Rally is poised to be one of the most meaningful yet, bringing together national leaders, local heroes, and passionate riders for an unforgettable celebration of freedom and service.
National Spotlight on Sturgis
With an invitation extended by Senator Mike Rounds, there is intense anticipation that President Donald Trump may attend this year’s Rally—a historic first for any sitting or former U.S. president. He would be welcomed by Kristi Noem, who is now serving as the Director of Homeland Security and previously as the Governor of South Dakota.
Noem, a longtime advocate for personal liberty and patriotic values, is deeply connected to the Rally’s legacy. Her presence underscores the Rally’s significance as a gathering not just of riders, but of Americans who stand proudly for community and country.
Wyatt’s Lemonade: A Young Entrepreneur Raising Funds for St. Jude
In a rally full of chrome and horsepower, Wyatt’s Lemonade Stand brings a touch of sweetness and a big heart. Operated by a young local entrepreneur, the stand has become a rally favorite—not just for its cold, refreshing drinks, but for its cause. All proceeds go to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, helping kids bravely battle cancer and life-threatening illnesses.
Wyatt’s initiative is a heartfelt reminder that kindness and purpose can start young and have a significant impact, even amidst a sea of roaring bikes.
BikerDown’s Two Wheels for Meals – and Rider Support: Gratitude in Motion
At the heart of the Rally’s charitable efforts is the BikerDown Foundation, led by Laurie Montoya. Known for its national commitment to motorcycle rider safety and recovery, BikerDown brings its full mission to Sturgis each year, not only by feeding first responders but by actively supporting riders who go down during the Rally.
During the 10-day event, BikerDown offers direct assistance to injured motorcyclists, including hospital visits, care packages, medical equipment, and help navigating post-accident logistics. Whether it’s coordinating with family members, providing critical equipment, or just offering emotional support, the foundation is often one of the first to respond after an accident.
This on-the-ground outreach is part of BikerDown’s broader goal: to ensure no rider faces the aftermath of a crash alone. If anyone knows of someone who is injured at the Rally this year or at home, their procedure is to fill out a Help Request on their website. They will also be monitoring Rally’s social media pages and have launched their own Sturgis Accident and Incident Page on Facebook to provide riders with a place to ask for assistance.
Through its Two Wheels for Meals program, BikerDown also partners with sponsors to deliver grab-and-go sandwiches to the frontlines—including Rapid City Hospital, Sturgis Fire and EMS, and the Deadwood Fire Department.
This year’s program will support Rapid City Hospital, Sturgis Fire and EMS, and the Deadwood Fire Department—agencies that serve as the safety net for hundreds of thousands of rally participants and locals alike.
A Rally of Impact and Inspiration
From presidential appearances and grassroots youth fundraising to volunteer-driven outreach, Sturgis 2025 is proving that the Rally is not only about roaring engines—it’s about roaring compassion. Riders from all walks of life are coming together to give back to the people who make this event safe, meaningful, and memorable.
