The holidays are over and soon all of us will be seeing how much we spent when our credit card bills arrive. The last few months for me was a moment to reflect on how truly grateful I am for family and our chosen family here in Colorado. As Publisher of Colorado Rider News and President/Founder of the BikerDown Foundation, I sometimes to get to see the hardship that our riders are facing from behind the scenes. However, the love and commitment to one another by this motorcycle community is something we should all be so very proud of. As we face the risks of riding, I quickly realize the REWARD is worth it.
The one thing about riding in Colorado is there is never enough time to do all that is available in Colorado. The months of January and February do give us time to get ready for riding season. In this issue, we are asking riders to make biker new year resolutions. Freedom of the Ride is no longer FREE and we are asking everyone to take a look at what they can do in 2020 to make themselves a little safer on the road or in the event of any type of down time, be more prepared for the time off to recovery.
We have some exciting events this month in Denver.
The Progressive International Motorcycle Show (Jan 17th – 19th) is coming to the Colorado Convention Center. This is a great opportunity and not one we get in Denver each year to see all the manufactures of everything motorcycle related including apparel and other accessories
Colorado Motorcycle Expo (Feb 1st – 2nd) is back at the Western Complex with a new owner, Scott Schulz and a few familiar faces (rumor has it, Jack has come back to help Scott for a few days). The theme of the show is “New vision, Same tradition” and I for one am looking forward to going back to the Expo after spending a few years not attending.
As always enjoy the ride, let us know what we can do better and BE SAFE OUT THERE.
